Company Guidelines

Upon joining an Order My Steps class, dancers and their families agree to the following policies stated below. Please review with your children.

Ballet instructor and students

Dress Requirements

  • Modesty is stressed.  Dancers are expected to be dressed in appropriate dance attire.

  • No dangling jewelry.  However, stubs are permitted.

  • Hair should be pulled back from the face.

  • Appropriate dance shoes should be worn for each specified class.  Don’t wear dance shoes outside as this shortens the life of the shoe.

  • A dance bag is highly suggested and please label all shoes and garments.

Arrival and Dismissal

  • Be ready and prepared to move when class starts.

  • Class starts promptly.   Students who are 15 minutes or more late for class will be asked to observe.

  • Do not enter classroom without instructor’s permission.

  • Receive permission from instructor before leaving class.  The teacher will dismiss the class.

  • Students should thank the teacher at the end of the class by clapping.

  • At no time are students to be outside of the facility without permission of an adult.

  • For your child’s safety please come in and make your presence know to his/her teacher.

  • Students must be picked up promptly after class.  A ten minute grace period is given.  If late pick up is consistent you will be charged an additional $10 fee.

  • Parking lots can be a very dangerous place.  Be sure to hold your child’s hand and teach them to be aware of their surroundings.

Attendance

  • Consistent attendance is very important in maintaining continual growth in technique and establishing muscle strength and muscle memory.

  • Class attendance is taken daily.

  • Please call or email the office if your child must be absent.
